Last year’s Motorcycle Live saw Suzuki showcase the new GSX-R1000 Concept for the first time, and at 2016’s event the Japanese manufacturer will display the finished, 2017 GSX-R1000, which boasts new technologies never-before-seen in the supersport arena, lifted straight from MotoGP. The new bike will use a brand new variable valve-timing system, developed directly from competition in the premier class of motorcycle racing, and gets launch control, traction control, a quick-shifter, and Showa’s ultimate Balance Free suspension. The new GSX-R1000 will be on display alongside the other new models in Suzuki’s range.
Suzuki has also become known for supplying plenty of live action throughout the show’s duration, including the build of a brand new TL1000S and the restoration of an original GSX-R750F in recent years, to highlight the firm’s commitment to its Vintage Parts programme. This year Suzuki will again provide additional reasons to visit the stand, with classic bike displays and another live build, as well as its returning Suzuki hospitality area, which will provide show-goers with free teas and coffees and a place to take the weight off their feet.
You can get your hands on the latest in Suzuki merchandise while you’re at the show, as the brand’s on-stand shop returns. The very newest lines from Suzuki’s team-wear and race-wear ranges will be available, as well as items from the popular Heritage and Urban Classics collections too.
