BMW Rider Training
Whether you’re keen to get your motorcycle licence or looking to enhance your riding skills, our friendly, professional and highly-experienced instructors will work with you to achieve your goal.
BMW Rider Training centres across the United Kingdom offer the highest standard of road skills training, from novice to advanced rider, and can help build greater riding confidence alongside enhancing safety.
With the latest BMW bikes, some of the highest qualified and most experienced male and female motorcycle instructors in the UK, we train in a personal, flexible, and tailored way. All courses run on a full-day basis and never with more than two students to one instructor.
BMW Off Road Skills
Headed up by legendary Dakar racer Simon Pavey, BMW Off Road Skills was established in 2000 and has been spreading the off-road love ever since. And where better to base such a school than in the off-road paradise that is South Wales, specifically the Walters Arena Motorsport Park on the edge of the Brecon Beacons.
We offer a carefully-planned and well-tested syllabus to develop riders from novices to confident off-roaders. Our two-day courses focus on developing confidence alongside the skills needed to unlock the incredible off-road capability of our range of BMW GS adventure bikes.
As your skills improve, we take in more and more of the 4,000-acre site, breaking up trail rides with detailed lessons on the various elements of off-road riding. Our instructors will advise and assist you every step of the way, helping you to progress from our Level One course through to the more advanced skills and techniques of Level Two and Level Three once you are ready. And, when you’ve truly got the off-road riding bug, we have a range of off-road trips and adventures in Wales, Portugal, Australia, and Iceland. We also offer Adventure Maintenance and Adventure Travel Training courses to prepare you for your own adventure, wherever it may take you.
With new off-road adventures and more courses than ever, 2021 is set to be another exciting year of taking adventure bikes to amazing places and having fun every step of the way. Come and have a play, you won’t believe where a GS can take you off-road.
During COVID times we couldn’t visit Motorcycle Live at the NEC Birmingham. Instead, we decided to re-enact our traditional Motorcycle Live demonstration at our home ground at Walters Arena on a wet and windy day in November.
BMW Motorrad Tours
Motorcycle travel is one of the most rewarding ways to see the world; whether you’re searching for that perfect mountain pass, seeking to immerse yourself in unique cultures or reaching out for an untouched wilderness. To ensure you get the most from your trip, our touring style gives you the flexibility to ride how you choose.
Throughout each day of our trips you can choose to relax and let our vastly experienced tour leaders guide you through the ride, or take ownership of the route and navigate the day yourself using our GPS routes, paper maps and route notes. From your first experience of riding abroad, to the ultimate motorcycling adventure, Motorrad Tours is here to make it happen and ensure every trip is one to remember for all the right reasons.
BMW Motorrad Trackdays
Hosted at some of the UK’s best-known circuits and based in a dedicated BMW pit garage, our track days offer expert training from past or present BSB riders to help you get the most out of your motorcycle.
Combining expert theory with exhilarating ‘live’ tuition, there’s nothing like a BMW track experience. On-track training is conducted via Bluetooth helmet comms (unique in the UK to BMW) providing as-you-ride information and feedback to refine your speed, control, and technique.
The tailored training will work to improve braking, cornering, and technical knowledge in addition to boosting confidence and safety of all riders from beginners to regular track day riders.
You can ride your own bike or, to add even more thrills to your day, you can hire the acclaimed BMW S 1000 RR, to experience its class-leading technology, performance, and agility.
Alongside the best tuition, one of your sessions will be videoed. This, and a record of your riding, will be sent to you after the event as a special reminder of your memorable day.
