Embrace the future, appreciate the past
Sportster® S – the overnight success 64 years in the making.
Powered by its all-new Revolution™ Max 1250T engine, which kicks out a class-leading 121bhp and a massive 125 Nm of torque, this is one bike that deserves its name. But it is a name that has to be earned.
After all, no company respects its heritage (and customers) like Harley-Davidson®.
Come to Motorcycle Live this year and not only will you get the chance to see, touch and engage with the Sportster® S, but you’ll be able to learn about its pedigree.
With a fleet of Sportster® classics dating back to the original XL Model on display at the NEC, you’ll not only become an expert in Harley lore but also see just where the dynamic new Sportster® S gets its DNA from.
Some selected highlights to enjoy on the Sportster® Evolution Gallery:
- The 1970 XR750 was based on the street-focused Sportster® but was an off-the-peg dirt track racing machine which dominated flat track for decades. The spirit of this bike lives on in the new Sportster®
- Proof that a Sportster® can turn its hand to anything is the 1992 Rally Duck – tuned to kick out 120 bhp and modified to compete in rally events worldwide.
- Perhaps the closest link in the chain to the all-new Sportster® S is the much-loved 2010 XR1200X. Intended for the European market, the bike’s knockout performance and killer looks meant a demand Stateside. Its influence on the new bike is clear to see.
Get a feel for the history, and then a taste for the future, with Sportster® on stand 3C20 this year. The all-new S is living proof that the Sportster® spirit is alive and well, and ready to burn up tarmac for many decades to come.
