Get on two wheels for FREE at Motorcycle Live in association with Bikesure Insurance
Motorcycle Live in association with Bikesure Insurance takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 16-24 November and offers motorcycle enthusiasts the chance to build their perfect day out. No matter if you’ve been riding for years, want to give it a go for the first time or learn new skills, there are a number of opportunities to get on two wheels for FREE at Motorcycle Live…
Try two wheels for the first time
MCIA Try Ride in association with MCN offers show visitors the chance to take their first step on two wheels. With a free 20-minute taster session in a purpose built area, visitors can try a 125cc scooter or motorcycle and learn the basics such as clutch control and gears in a private, indoor area. Bookings are now open, email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place.
For those who want to experience the feel of riding and try out the controls but don’t want to go the whole hog, both the BMW Rolling Road and the Harley-Davidson Jumpstart offer the chance to get behind the bars of a motorcycle and try it for size on a rolling road.
Find your dream machine
As well as climbing aboard the latest new metal unveiled by the world’s leading manufacturers, and trying them out for size, you can also take to the open road on an amazing line-up of bikes by visiting the Test Ride Zone. Travelling by train or coming in the car? Don’t worry – thanks to Shoei, Sidi and Spada, you don’t even need to bring your own riding kit.
Learn something new…
Fancy yourself as a bit of an adventurer? Head to Experience Adventure supported by Honda, Royal Enfield, Triumph and Yamaha. Designed to introduce riders to adventure riding, once kitted up in clothing provided by Bell Helmets and Fly, you’ll be taught about bike set-up, body positioning and balance across a number of testing terrains. Some slots will open for pre-booking at the end of October so keep an eye on the Motorcycle Live website for more information.
Try your hand at trials riding in the aptly named ACU Try Trials zone. Get kitted out in all the safety gear and be guided by an ACU-certified instructor in a FREE 15-minute session. There will be the chance to see the true capabilities of the bikes and skills of riders as the professionals take to the track for demonstrations throughout each day.
It’s not just the adults who can ride too, with plenty of opportunities for children including the Arenacross Toddler’s Experience, Arenacross Youth Experience and the OSET – Children’s Riding Experience.
