Scooters have always offered a solution to those wanting to move around the city with ease and with many people now opting to stay away from public transport the modern scooter has really come of age. So, the announcement from Yamaha of an all-new NMAX 125 and D’elight 125 for next season has been perfectly timed with both models introducing new features that are sure to further broaden their appeal to commuters.

The NMAX is Yamaha’s best selling scooter in the UK and in many parts of Europe and for 2021 it features a new frame and sporty new body that makes it even more comfortable and gives the rider better protection from the elements. Its VVA engine is now EU5 emission compliant and features a new Start & Stop function that can be set to turn off the engine when stationary.

With Traction Control and disc brakes front and rear fitted with ABS the rider has all the latest aids to help with wet or slippery surfaces – while the high level of standard equipment includes keyless ignition and a 12V power socket that add to the enjoyment. An all-new Simple Communication Unit and connected LCD instruments keep the rider informed and make every journey more memorable while the large, lockable underseat storage compartment takes care of the luggage.

Joining the NMAX in the 2021 line-up of Urban Mobility models is the stylish new D’elight 125. Fashioned along classic lines and at just 101kg it’s the lightest scooter in its class but still boasts a feature-laden specification sheet with an economic and efficient EU5 compliant engine, Start & Stop technology, 12-inch front wheel and a large underseat storage compartment. This fashion scooter is easy to handle and great to look at and will be available in the UK in January 2021.
